Koon, Suber: The first line in my family in America is David Koon, son of George Adam Koon. In the 1820 Newberry Co Federal Census the family had 2 males between the ages of 10 to 16 years, 1 male between the age of 16 to 18 years, 2 males between 18 and 26 years and 1 male above the age of 45 years, 1 female under 10 years, 1 female between 10 to 16 years and 1 female between the age 26 to 45 years. I found one son, Uriah Koon and one daughter Eve Margaret who married John Kreps and moved to Johnson City, SC, near Abbeville. A Silas Koon born 1808 - 1831 married Hannah Suber 1803 - 1837 (daughter of George Suber and Christina Folk). They had two sons: George Adam Koon (21 Jan 1829 - 4 July 1864) and Andrew Silas Koon (25 Dec 1831 - May 1899). When Hannah died, her orphaned children had Henry Suber as their guardian. George Adam Koon went to Pickens Co Al 1850 and died in Richmoind Va. He is buried there. I wish to share information on this family with others doing the same family research.
